What you’ll accomplish

The result

Dial Amp provides an Enable Recording option in session setup and makes available recordings accessible from call history. Recording is a workflow choice that must follow your organization’s privacy and disclosure requirements.

Before you begin

  • Your organization has approved when and how calls may be recorded, including required disclosures and privacy safeguards. This guide is software workflow guidance, not legal advice.
  • An administrator has made any required recording settings available to your workspace.
  • You have a connected Zoho CRM record and a Caller ID available for the session.

Access to have ready

Use an account with permission to access the Zoho CRM records and Dial Amp settings needed for these steps. The right access depends on your organization’s setup; ask your CRM administrator if you’re unsure.

Step-by-step instructions

Work through the steps in order. Each number marks an action in this tutorial.

  1. Confirm your organization’s recording prerequisites

Before enabling recording, follow your organization’s policy for privacy, disclosure, access, and retention. Ask your administrator if you are unsure whether a session should be recorded.

  2. Prepare a session with the correct CRM contacts

Select Leads or Contacts in Zoho CRM, click Dial Amp, then click Launch Dialer. Confirm Contact Source and select the session options appropriate for this call list.

  3. Review Enable Recording in setup

In session setup, review Enable Recording and turn it on only when the session meets your organization’s prerequisites. Choose the appropriate Caller ID and click Continue.

  4. Place the call and record its outcome

Click Dial to start the call. When finished, select the accurate disposition so the completed call is logged to its Zoho CRM Lead or Contact.

  5. Find an available recording in Call History

Open Call History, expand the relevant session, and click the call row or View to inspect its details and available recording. Access to recording settings is administrator-controlled.

A recording being available in Call History does not imply it was attached to a CRM activity or stored in another service.

You’re done when…

Check your result

  • Recording was enabled only for a session approved under the organization’s policy.
  • The call was completed and given an accurate disposition.
  • The call details page shows a recording when one is available to your account.

Troubleshooting

Why is Enable Recording unavailable to me?

Recording settings are administrator-controlled. Ask a workspace administrator to review the settings and your access.

Why can I not find a recording in Call History?

Check that recording was enabled for the session, open the correct session and call row, and confirm your account can access recordings. Not every call will necessarily have an available recording.

Does finding a recording mean it was attached to Zoho CRM?

No. This workflow explains where available recordings can be viewed in Dial Amp Call History; it does not promise CRM attachment or external storage.
