Dial Amp / After a call
How to log outbound calls automatically in Zoho CRM
Use Dial Amp dispositions to log completed outbound calls as Zoho CRM Call activities.
Purpose-built for Zoho CRM
What you’ll accomplish
The result
Dial Amp logs a completed call to its Zoho CRM record when the agent chooses a disposition. Configured disposition actions are separate follow-up steps and can have their own authorization or save requirements.
Before you begin
- Dial Amp is connected to the Zoho CRM organization containing the Leads or Contacts you call.
- The call is associated with a Zoho Lead or Contact in the Dial Amp session.
- Your workspace has a disposition set agents can use after calls.
Access to have ready
Use an account with permission to access the Zoho CRM records and Dial Amp settings needed for these steps. The right access depends on your organization’s setup; ask your CRM administrator if you’re unsure.

Step-by-step instructions
Work through the steps in order. Each number marks an action in this tutorial.
Start a session with Zoho CRM records
Select Leads or Contacts in Zoho CRM, click Dial Amp, and choose Launch Dialer. Confirm that the expected records appear in the Dial Amp session.
Know which disposition records the call
Before dialing, review the available outcomes with your administrator. The correct outcome should describe what happened, not merely what you hoped would happen.
Place the call
Click Continue to reach the ready-to-dial state, then click Dial to call the contact. Continue alone does not call.
Choose the completed call’s disposition
When the call is finished, select its accurate disposition. Dial Amp logs the completed call as a Zoho CRM Call activity on the related record at disposition time.
Finish any separate follow-up action
A disposition can also have configured CRM actions. If it opens Create Zoho Task, complete and save the task form; opening it alone does not create a task. CRM template-email actions require the agent’s Zoho authorization, and Zoho Sign requires a separate connection.
You’re done when…
Check your result
- You selected a disposition after the call rather than leaving it in an unfinished state.
- The related Lead or Contact has a Zoho CRM Call activity for the completed call.
- Any separate task or configured action was completed with its required save or authorization.

Troubleshooting
Why is there no call activity on the CRM record yet?
The completed call is logged when its disposition is selected. Confirm you selected an outcome for the correct Lead or Contact and allow the CRM action to complete.
Why did clicking Go live not log the call?
Go live is a mode switch for a live conversation, not a completed outcome. End the call as appropriate and select its disposition.
Why did logging work but the follow-up task or email not happen?
Call logging and configured follow-up actions are separate. Save the task dialog, check required call-screen fields and agent email authorization, or verify the separate Zoho Sign connection.
