Dial Amp / Calling setup
Create a call script for Dial Amp
Write and save a reusable call script, with optional name merge tags for a more personal opening.
Purpose-built for Zoho CRM
What you’ll accomplish
The result
A call script keeps useful talking points close to the conversation. Personal scripts are private to their owner; shared organization scripts follow administrator editing rules.
Before you begin
- You can open Settings → Dial Sessions → Call Scripts.
- Prepare the script text you want to use and confirm it is appropriate for your team.
- Ask an administrator if you need to create or edit an organization-shared script.
Access to have ready
Use an account with permission to access the Zoho CRM records and Dial Amp settings needed for these steps. The right access depends on your organization’s setup; ask your CRM administrator if you’re unsure.

Step-by-step instructions
Work through the steps in order. Each number marks an action in this tutorial.
Open Call Scripts
Go to Settings → Dial Sessions → Call Scripts. Review the existing options first so you do not create a duplicate.
Start a new script
Click New Script. Enter a clear value in Script Name so agents can tell when to use it.
Write the script text
Enter your wording in Script Text. Keep the opening and key prompts easy to scan while speaking rather than writing a paragraph agents must read word for word.
- Use the available merge-tag actions for Client first name, Client full name, or My name when personalization is useful.
Create the script
Click Create Script to save it. Confirm the new script appears in the Call Scripts list.
Select the script for a session
During session setup, choose the script from Call Scripts. A shared default script can also be preselected by a preset configured for the team.
You’re done when…
Check your result
- The saved script appears in Call Scripts with the name you entered.
- The intended audience can see it: personal scripts remain private, while shared scripts follow workspace permissions.
- The script can be selected in session setup or supplied by a shared preset.

Troubleshooting
Why can another agent not see my script?
Personal scripts are private to their owner. Ask an administrator to create or manage an organization-shared script if the whole team needs it.
Why can I not edit a shared script?
Shared organization scripts are managed by administrators. Contact an administrator to update the shared version.
Why was my script not selected automatically?
A shared default script may be preselected by a preset. Check the selected preset and the Call Scripts option in session setup.
